Creative Outlet: Monotype Printmaking

Join us once a month at the Mill as we connect you to local artists and to your own creativity while you pau hana with new and old friends. Activities include silk screen, lei po‘o, faux batik, printmaking, painting and so much more!

Activity:

Join master printmaker Hunter Buck in the print studio! Students will have fun exploring a 4 color monotype process using additive or subtractive applications of red, yellow, blue and black ink. Each color will be layered in separate runs through the press revealing primary, secondary and tertiary color combinations. Images can be abstract or representational, bring an idea if you like or leave it up to chance and take advantage of some creative freedom! 

The Mill will provide: Basic printmaking supplies, plexi, paper and inks
